The 5-Minute Meditator
Let me explain how I became a writer. My first book Do you want to Meditate? (1991) emerged from the notes I gave out in class. Every couple of years, I brought out revised editions (five in all!) as my teaching style and knowledge matured.
I eventually sold the overseas rights to UK and USA publishers with the title Teach Yourself to Meditate. I also sold them the rights to Meditation and Health. I soon discovered that publishers did not want to bring out revised editions. Too expensive! This means than any of my books that you find on the internet will have texts that are 20-28 years old.
When I sold them The 5-Minute Meditator, I retained the rights to self-publish in Australia. This meant I could update the book as I wished, and could also produce a book of the finest quality. I also designed it to replace Teach Yourself to Meditate. The fully revised, full colour, Australian edition of The 5-Minute Meditator is far superior in content and appearance to the smaller, rather tacky, early editions that you can still purchase online.
I sold about 70,000 copies of The 5-Minute Meditator, but it is now sold out. You may find copies in second-hand bookshops, but your best option is to read it right here. (PFD, 6Mb) This is its final incarnation.
